Freshman Reese Ng leads Wolverines as tightly packed leaderboard keeps title hopes alive at Oakmont Country Club
GLENDALE, Calif. | The Michigan Wolverines women's golf may not have opened atop the leaderboard, but they’re far from out of contention.
After carding a first-round 296 at the 2026 Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships, Michigan sits in 12th place — yet remains firmly in the hunt in one of the most tightly contested fields in recent conference history. With just four strokes separating seventh through 12th place, the Wolverines are positioned for a potential surge heading into the weekend.
