Sooners announce 10-tournament regular season highlighted by two home-hosted events, Golf Channel appearance, SEC Championship, and NCAA title pursuit
NORMAN, Okla. | Oklahoma Women's Golf has officially unveiled its 2026-27 schedule, setting the stage for another championship pursuit under head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. The Sooners will compete in 10 regular-season tournaments, including two events hosted by Oklahoma, before beginning postseason play in the Southeastern Conference and NCAA Championships.
The schedule blends nationally recognized tournaments, elite competition, and championship-caliber venues, providing Oklahoma with multiple opportunities to strengthen its NCAA rΓ©sumΓ© while preparing for another run at conference and national titles.
Season Opens in Texas
Oklahoma begins the fall campaign September 8-9 at The Bruzzy, held at Trophy Club Country Club in Dallas.
The Sooners return to the tournament after previously finishing tied for fifth when the event was contested in the spring of 2024, giving Oklahoma an early measuring stick against a competitive national field.
Sooners Host Schooner Fall Classic
One of the highlights of the fall schedule arrives September 19-21, when Oklahoma hosts the 13th annual Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman.
The Sooners finished third in last year's event, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from Meg Tilma, and will look to capitalize on home-course familiarity against another strong field.
Hosting premier collegiate tournaments continues to elevate Oklahoma's national profile while providing valuable experience competing under postseason-like expectations.
National Spotlight at NB3 Match Play Championship
Oklahoma heads west September 29-30 for the NB3 Match Play Championship at Santa Ana Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.
The event features a unique round-robin match-play format and will be televised nationally on Golf Channel, giving the Sooners a chance to showcase their program before a national audience.
Oklahoma is scheduled to face:
- NC State
- New Mexico
- New Mexico State
The televised competition also provides valuable preparation for the match-play format used during the SEC Championship.
Strong Finish to the Fall
Following the NB3 Championship, Oklahoma hosts the PD Intercollegiate at Wichita Country Club in Kansas before closing the fall season at The Fin, held at Freestone Country Club in Texas.
Together, the five fall tournaments present a balanced schedule emphasizing stroke play, match play, and regional competition.
Florida Swing Highlights Spring Schedule
After the winter break, the Sooners resume competition February 1-3 at the Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida.
Oklahoma enters the event with confidence after capturing the tournament championship in 2025.
The Sooners remain in Florida for three consecutive events:
- Spartan Sun Coast Invitational
- Gator Invitational
- FSU Match Up
The extended Florida swing gives Oklahoma an opportunity to compete on championship-caliber courses while facing many of the nation's top programs before postseason play begins.
SEC Championship Looms
The regular season concludes at the Huntington Bank Collegiate in Dallas before attention turns to the SEC Women's Golf Championship, scheduled for April 16-20 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
The championship begins with 54 holes of stroke play, after which the top eight teams advance to match play to determine the conference champion.
With Oklahoma continuing to establish itself in one of college golf's deepest conferences, success at the SEC Championship could significantly strengthen the Sooners' NCAA postseason position.
National Championship Path
NCAA Regional competition begins May 10-12 at six sites nationwide before the sport's biggest stage returns to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, for the 2027 NCAA Women's Golf Championships, scheduled for May 21-26.
The championship marks the fourth consecutive year the national tournament will be contested at Omni La Costa, where the nation's elite collegiate golfers will compete for the NCAA title.
For Oklahoma, the newly announced schedule reflects a deliberate strategy—challenging competition, nationally televised exposure, and multiple opportunities to build momentum entering postseason play.
With experienced leadership, a balanced tournament slate, and championship expectations, the Sooners will look to contend both in the SEC and on the national stage throughout the 2026-27 campaign.
