All-Big 12 infielder Jenna Sniffen brings proven power, defensive consistency, and postseason experience to Jamie Trachsel's rapidly reloaded Ole Miss softball roster.
OXFORD, Miss. | Ole Miss softball continues to build one of the nation's most intriguing transfer classes, adding another proven Power Four talent as head coach Jamie Trachsel announced the signing of former Arizona standout Jenna Sniffen.
The versatile third baseman arrives in Oxford after two productive seasons with the Wildcats and will have two years of NCAA eligibility remaining, giving the Rebels another experienced cornerstone as they prepare for the 2027 campaign.
Already recognized as one of the Big 12's premier infielders, Sniffen brings postseason experience, offensive consistency, and elite defensive skills to an Ole Miss program intent on climbing the SEC standings.
Arizona Standout Brings Proven Production
During her two seasons in Tucson, Sniffen established herself as one of Arizona's most dependable everyday players.
She appeared in 117 games, making 116 starts, primarily at third base while compiling an impressive collegiate rΓ©sumΓ©.
Career Numbers at Arizona
- .279 batting average
- 13 home runs
- 14 doubles
- 55 RBI
- 33 walks
- Only 24 strikeouts
- .956 fielding percentage
- 193 infield assists
Her combination of power and plate discipline made her one of the Wildcats' most reliable hitters, while her defensive consistency solidified the left side of Arizona's infield.
Award-Winning Career Continues
Sniffen quickly earned conference recognition after making an immediate impact at Arizona.
Among her honors:
- 2025 All-Big 12 Second Team
- 2025 Big 12 All-Freshman Team
Her postseason rΓ©sumΓ© is equally impressive.
Ole Miss fans became familiar with Sniffen during the 2025 NCAA Tucson Regional, where she reached base four times in three games against the Rebels.
She also excelled during this year's Durham Regional, driving in four runs while launching a home run in postseason competition.
That experience against elite NCAA Tournament competition should immediately benefit an Ole Miss team looking to make another deep postseason run.
Transfer Class Continues to Impress
Sniffen becomes the fourth transfer addition for Trachsel during an aggressive offseason focused on adding experienced talent across the diamond.
She joins:
- Lexie Hames (Pitcher, Clemson)
- Hailey Lucas (Pitcher, Southern Illinois)
- Brie Howard (Outfielder, Austin Peay)
The accomplished transfer group will combine with 11 incoming freshmen, giving Ole Miss one of the SEC's most balanced incoming classes.
The additions reflect the Rebels' strategy of blending veteran leadership with young talent capable of competing immediately in college softball's toughest conference.
A Key Piece for the Rebels' Future
Sniffen's arrival addresses multiple needs for Ole Miss.
Her experience at third base strengthens the infield defensively, while her disciplined approach at the plate adds another proven run producer to the Rebels' lineup.
Just as important, her postseason experience and championship-level competition in the Big 12 provide valuable leadership for a roster undergoing significant transformation.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Sniffen has an opportunity to become one of the program's foundational players as Ole Miss pursues SEC titles and another NCAA Tournament run.
For Trachsel and the Rebels, the addition represents another significant victory in one of the nation's increasingly competitive transfer portal battles.
