BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Arkansas Razorbacks proved once again that success extends far beyond competition, placing 88 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Southeastern Conference (SEC) First-Year Academic Honor Roll, one of the conference's premier academic distinctions.
The Razorbacks accounted for one of the SEC's strongest academic performances as 1,755 student-athletes from across the league earned First-Year Academic Honor Roll recognition, highlighting the conference's continued emphasis on balancing elite athletic performance with academic achievement.
Arkansas' honorees represented nearly every varsity program, including baseball, football, men's and women's basketball, softball, soccer, golf, gymnastics, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball, illustrating the university's department-wide commitment to academic success.
The Razorbacks' baseball program led a significant portion of the list, with standout student-athletes majoring in disciplines ranging from Business and Psychology to Communications, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Recreation and Sport Management. Football also featured a strong academic contingent, while men's and women's basketball, softball, gymnastics, and Olympic sports continued to demonstrate excellence away from competition.
The SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recognizes undergraduate student-athletes who maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point average during the academic year or cumulatively at their institution. Graduate student-athletes must also achieve at least a 3.0 GPA in graduate coursework.
