WASHINGTON, D.C. | The Maryland Terrapins gymnastics team delivered a strong finish to the regular season, posting a 196.100 team score to capture three victories at the George Washington Quad on Saturday.
The Terrapins topped host George Washington, Towson, and Temple, improving to 19–6 on the season and building momentum heading into the Big Ten Championships next weekend in Champaign, Illinois.
Leading the charge for Maryland was Aine Reade, who dazzled on the floor exercise with a 9.900 score, highlighting a consistent and confident performance across all four rotations.
Strong Start on Beam Sets the Tone
Maryland opened the meet on the balance beam, where a pair of standout routines helped establish early momentum.
- Josephine Kogler delivered a 9.875, matching her season high.
- Maddie Komoroski followed with a 9.825.
The Terrapins combined for a 48.950 team score, setting a solid foundation for the rest of the competition.
Floor Exercise Continues to Shine for the Terps
The floor exercise, one of Maryland’s strongest events all season, once again proved pivotal.
Reade’s 9.900 routine led the way, showcasing the energy and precision that have made her one of the team’s most reliable performers.
Komoroski added another standout performance with a 9.875, helping Maryland reach a 49.075 team score on floor — one of the squad’s top marks of the night.
Consistency on Vault and Bars Secures the Victory
Maryland continued its steady performance on vault, where Taylor Rech and Logan Buckmon each recorded 9.850 scores, contributing to another 48.950 team total.
The Terrapins currently rank No. 24 nationally on vault, and Saturday’s performance reinforced their ability to deliver consistent landings heading into postseason competition.
On the uneven bars, Komoroski once again led the lineup with a 9.875, while Megan Bingham recorded a career-best 9.850. Gianna Ruffing contributed a 9.825, rounding out a strong finish to the meet.

Towson finished second to move to 15–13, while Temple improved to 9–20 and George Washington dropped to 7–14.

With the regular season complete, Maryland now turns its focus to the Big Ten Championships, where the Terrapins will look to carry their momentum into postseason competition.
The championship meet will take place in Champaign, Illinois, and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
