Auburn Gymnastics Welcomes International Elite: Get to Know Freshman Sensation Charlotte Booth Ahead of the 2026 Season

Dual Team USA–Great Britain standout brings Olympic-level experience, World Champions Cup medals, and sky-high ambitions to the Plains as Auburn builds a star-powered roster for 2026.

AUBURN, Ala. | The Auburn Tigers continue to elevate their national profile heading into the 2026 gymnastics season, and one of the most compelling new additions to this year’s roster is freshman Charlotte Booth, a world-level athlete whose rรฉsumรฉ spans Team USA, Team Great Britain, and significant international podium finishes. Booth arrives from Clermont, Florida, already carrying the experience, poise, and competitive fire of a seasoned veteran.

Before stepping onto the collegiate stage, Booth competed as a senior elite gymnast for both nations, earning a spot as a 2024 British Olympic Team alternate and medaling at the 2024 World Champions Cup, where she claimed gold on bars and bronze on beam. Her impressive competitive record also includes top-six finishes at the 2024 Welsh Championship, top-five placements at the 2024 British Championships, and multiple U.S. national Top 10 results on bars and beam.

Now, Booth brings her elite international skillset—and her infectious Auburn spirit—to Neville Arena as she begins her freshman campaign.

A First Visit That Felt Like Destiny

Booth’s path to Auburn began with an unforgettable first visit.

“My first visit to Auburn was amazing! I went to a football game, toured campus, met the team, and made so many memories. I knew it was where I was meant to be,” Booth said. “Everyone was so welcoming, and it felt like a place where I could grow both as a gymnast and as a person.”

Her love for Auburn traditions runs deep. From Swag Surfing at sporting events to rolling Toomer’s Corner, Booth is already embracing the culture that makes Auburn special.

A Role Model With Auburn Ties

When asked about her biggest inspiration, Booth chose another Tiger legend:

“My biggest role model is Suni Lee. She’s an Auburn alum, a bar worker like me, and she always encouraged me and made me laugh.”

Booth’s connection to Lee underscores her own potential on bars—already her standout event—with a decorated history that includes medals at the U.S. Classic, Winter Cup, and international competitions.

Elite Mindset: Faith, Focus, and Routine

Booth stays grounded on tough days by reflecting on her goals and keeping her purpose in focus.

Her pre-meet superstitions are meaningful but straightforward:

“I listen to music to bring good vibes and say a prayer before each event to calm me down.”

Motivation also comes from her desire to grow as both an athlete and a communicator. Booth is majoring in journalism, with dreams of becoming a sports broadcaster or college gymnastics coach.

Life Beyond the Gym: Sunshine, Water Sports, and Family

Growing up on the water, Booth developed a love for boating and water sports. She also enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and family, and eating her favorite home-cooked meal: chicken piccata with angel hair pasta.

Her fun side shows up in her candid answers:

  • Least favorite event: Vault — “It’s not as fun as the others.”
  • Biggest pet peeve: Chalk under her fingernails—and falling on an easy skill.
  • Childhood dream job: Actress.
  • Preferred superpower: Flying — “Gymnastics would be a lot easier!”

Olympic-Level Insight: Competing for Team USA and Team Great Britain

Booth’s international background sets her apart from most NCAA freshmen.

Representing Great Britain, where she holds dual citizenship, gave her new perspectives and lasting friendships:

“I got to meet so many amazing girls and coaches and experience a whole new atmosphere.”

She notes differences between her time with the U.S. and British programs:

“Team USA focuses heavily on excellence and refining every detail. Great Britain also values precision, but it really emphasizes supporting the whole athlete. They provided so many international opportunities that helped me grow.”

This blend of discipline, support, and world-class experience makes Booth a powerful addition to Auburn’s 2026 squad.

Goals for 2026: A Perfect 10 and a Final Four Run

As she looks ahead to her freshman season, Booth’s goals reflect both ambition and team spirit:

“I’m most looking forward to competing in the Neville Arena atmosphere with my team. I would love to earn a perfect 10.0 and make it to the Final Four!”

Auburn fans will be watching closely as Booth brings her elite performance level to one of the SEC’s most electric gymnastics environments.
