Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Tennis fell to West Alabama

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team (10-6, 4-3) dropped its match on Monday at No. 8 West Alabama (12-5, 7-0). 

DOUBLES

  • The Warhawks were swept to give West Alabama the doubles point.
  • The duo of Melissa Yakup Pour and Nahia Izco dropped just their second doubles match of the season with a 12-2 record.

SINGLES

  • The Warhawks picked up wins two wins in singles from Estefania Garcia and Ane Ibarra.
  • Nahia Izo dropped a three-set battle to West Alabama's Valentina Mutilba (6-3, 6-7, 0-1).
  • Garcia won on court No. 1 in three sets (7-6, 3-6, 1-0).
  • Ibarra won on court No. 5 (6-3, 6-4).

UP NEXT

AUM's women's tennis will travel to Delta State to close out the regular season on Friday at Noon.
